Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a ground fighting system. Fights that end up on the ground (intended or result of the fight) is what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training skills is famous for. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training teaches how to prepare oneself for surviving an attack from a much larger adversary. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu does this by training movements that create strong frameworks of the body through leverage and training body placement. The idea of surviving such an attack with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is training to move you (not trying to move the attacker who may outweigh or be stronger). The logic of this training makes sense because we do not always get to pick who might attack us.
